Our Story
Kate Lynn® Jewelry was born out of founder Kate Lynn’s lifelong passion for jewelry and desire to share unique, quality pieces with others. As a child, Kate Lynn could often be found playing dress-up with her mother’s jewelry and admiring the way different materials and textures complemented various outfits. Her love for jewelry only grew as she got older.
After studying jewelry design in college, Kate Lynn began creating her own pieces inspired by her varied interests from nature and mythology to different cultures around the world. She experimented with different materials from metals, gemstones, and natural elements like wood or shell. Kate Lynn especially loved seeking out unusual beads and charms at flea markets and antique shops to incorporate into her one-of-a-kind designs.
As Kate Lynn’s collection grew, so did the interest from others who were drawn to her creative style and the craftsmanship of her handmade jewelry. In 2010, Kate Lynn decided to start her own small jewelry business and opened an Etsy shop to sell her pieces. She was thrilled by the enthusiastic response from customers who appreciated the originality and quality of her work.
Over the years, the business steadily expanded as word spread about Kate Lynn® Jewelry. Kate Lynn moved from selling online to offering her collections at local boutiques and art fairs. She also widened her offerings from necklaces and bracelets to include jewelry sets, rings, earrings, and more.
In 2022, Kate Lynn decided to take her business to the next level by launching the Kate Lynn® Jewelry website. The new ecommerce platform allows Kate Lynn to share the full breadth of her collections with customers worldwide. From delicate gold plated necklaces to dramatic statement earrings using natural stones and shells, the website showcases Kate Lynn’s talent for turning her inspirations into wearable works of art.
Our Process
Every piece of Kate Lynn® Jewelry starts with an idea from our founder and head designer Kate Lynn. She gathers inspiration from her interests in mythology, astrology, foreign cultures, the natural world, and a touch of the mystical. Kate Lynn’s unique perspective leads her to see jewelry design as a form of wearable storytelling. She carefully selects materials that help bring the narrative of each piece to life in a distinctive way.
Kate Lynn sketches her design ideas by hand, carefully considering how different elements will come together aesthetically. Many pieces go through multiple rounds of sketching and refinement before the final version is reached.
Once the design is finalized, Kate Lynn begins the meticulous process of assembling each piece. She personally selects every bead, charm, chain, and other component that goes into each necklace, bracelet, or jewelry set. While Kate Lynn works with some materials like sterling silver that are purchased, she also loves to incorporate elements she’s handcrafted herself like lampwork glass beads or hand stamped charms. This artisanal approach results in jewelry with depth, texture, and one-of-a-kind personality.
Every component is carefully assembled by hand, ensuring that every Kate Lynn® creation meets our brand’s high standards for quality craftsmanship. Kate Lynn inspects each finished piece, making any final adjustments needed before adding the signature Kate Lynn gift box and pouch.

Kate Lynn® Jewelry operates out of our studio on a quiet side street in historic Chester, Vermont. We love being part of the thriving community of local artists, craftspeople, and small businesses here. Kate Lynn does most of her design work and jewelry production on site in our sunny studio space. Customers can also visit us to shop our latest collections in person or take one of our jewelry making classes.
At our studio, we strive to minimize our environmental impact by recycling, composting, and using eco-friendly materials whenever possible. We’re also proud to employ local residents, especially talented women artisans who help produce our handcrafted collections while pursuing their creative passions.
